Trained in Lyon, Geneva, then Zurich, Céline Latour Monnier obtained with the jury’s congratulations a Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance in chamber music. Very early turned towards vocal and instrumental accompaniment, she benefits from the advice of Master H. Dutilleux, F. Leroux, A. Le Bozec, H. Höll, J. Cohen, H. Billaut, N. Lee, R. Lifschitz for French melody and Lied.
Lecturer at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in transposition, orchestral score reading and sight-reading, she is correpétitrice or assistant conductor of various ensembles (Opéra de Lausanne, Chœur de la Cité, Motet de Genève, Pro Arte choir), including seven years spent at the piano and in the ranks of the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne.
Her performance as a pianist in various orchestras (ZhdK, Verbier Festival Orchestra, HEM Geneva, Animato Stiftung) allows her to play under the direction of great conductors such as François-Xavier Roth, Valery Gergiev, Charles Dutoit, Titus Engel, Gianandrea Noseda, Yuri Temirkanov, Karl Anton Rickenbacher, Howard Griffith, Michel Corboz, Guillaume Tourniaire, Pierre Bleuse or Daniel Harding in concert tours in Switzerland, France, Japan, Slovenia, Turkey, Holland, Slovakia, Austria, and Czech Republic.
Interdisciplinary projects particularly attract her attention, whether it is with cinema, where she is musical scriptwriter and assistant director of Mirella Giardelli for the film ” Noces ” by Ph. Béziat, or with dance and movement, for which she improvises.
